Early Childhood Development and Literacy Center
The Early Childhood Development and Literacy Center is open and accepting applications for enrollment for students ages 20 months - 5 years old.
The Center provides a nurturing and educational environment while ensuring optimal physical, emotional, communicative, and cognitive development for each child. This is done through a holistic learning environment with a secular and inclusive philosophy and curriculum. At the same time, the Center serves as a training and research facility for pre-service teachers, University students and staff, and members of the community in its function as The Peggy S. Shelley Early Childhood Lab School for the Spadoni College of Education and Social Sciences. The lab allows Coastal students to receive hands-on experiential learning while providing the children with new educational experiences.
