Individual Services

Consultations

15–30-minute consultation to deescalate a situation, or just so that the student can be seen, heard, hold space for, and or vent. This can take place via in person or telemental health. This session requires no further therapeutic services or commitment unless the student chooses, or the counselor recommends it.

First Contact/Therapeutic Goal Exploration

When students arrive for a first contact in person or via zoom tele mental health, they fill out basic information forms prior to their first contact which has to be sent to them via email by front office staff or by counselor/therapist scheduling the student.  This session will be used to gather information using motivational interviewing and the biopsychosocial spiritual model.

First Therapy Appointment/Therapeutic Treatment Goal Commitment

This appointment is used for the counselor and the student the build and gain therapeutic rapport.  Counselors explain the treatment plan of care and outlined interventions used for coping and healing in a nurturing, nonjudgmental environment.
