HIST 363: BLACK ATLANTIC / AFRICAN DIASPORA
Dr. Maggi Morehouse
We investigate the meanings of the Black Atlantic and the African Diaspora by studying the migrations and cultural unity of black people throughout the Atlantic. Students analyze first-hand accounts of people who experienced enslavement and emancipation, into present-day legal and political policies. We study the unique cultures and histories of African Americans, Caribbeans, Black Brits, Afropeans, Gullahs, and more.
