Online Marketing Degree Completion
Coastal Carolina University is offering an online degree completion program in marketing.
Students who have earned one or more of the degrees below, or who meet the below criteria, will be exempt from the university core curriculum:
- Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from a regionally accredited college or university within the United States
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited international institution of higher education
- Master’s degree from an accredited international institution of higher education
- Transfer students with an earned A.A., A.S., B.A. or B.S. degree,
- International students with an earned B.A. or B.S. degree
- International students with an earned master’s degree with 150 credit hours
Those who have not earned an A.A. or A.S. degree may be subject to taking core curriculum classes to qualify.
Please note: If you have an Associate in Applied Sciences (AAS) degree, you do NOT qualify for the core curriculum waiver.
An outline of the courses is below:
Business Core Requirements (39-45 Credits) *
A minimum grade of ‘C’ is required in all business core courses.
Lower Level Business Core (15-21 credits)
Complete the following courses:
- CBAD 120 Q - Introduction to the Global Culture of Business *
- CBAD 201 - Financial Accounting
- CBAD 202 - Managerial Accounting
- CBAD 291 - Business Statistics *
- CBAD 292 - Decision Analysis
- ECON 201 - Macroeconomics *
- ECON 202 - Microeconomics
Upper-Level Business Core (24 credits)
Complete the following courses:
- CBAD 301 Q* - Management and Organizations
- CBAD 344 - Legal Environment of Business
- CBAD 350 Q - Marketing
- CBAD 363 - Business Finance
- CBAD 364 Q* - Operations Management
- CBAD 373 Q* - Business Integration and Application
- CBAD 393 - Management Information Systems
- CBAD 478 Q - Strategic Management
Note: Credits for courses taken as part of the core curriculum are not counted elsewhere in the major.
Major Requirements (18 Credits)
A minimum grade of ‘C’ is required in major requirements.
Complete the following courses:
- MKTG 351 - Consumer Market Analysis
- MKTG 357 Q* - Marketing Research
- MKTG 458 Q* - Marketing Strategy
Choose three from the following: (9 Credits)
- CBAD 401 - International Business
- MKTG 450 - Advertising
- MKTG 451 - Retailing Management
- MKTG 452 Q* - Social Media Marketing
- MKTG 453 - Integrated Marketing Communications
- MKTG 454 - International Marketing
- MKTG 455 - Personal Selling and Sales Management
- MKTG 497 - Marketing Internship (3 credits required)
