The Coastal Carolina University’s Recreation and Sport Management (RSM) event planning class is hosting the 13th annual RSM Golf Classic, which will be held Friday, April 5, at CCU’s Hackler Golf Course. The sold-out golf tournament will welcome 104 participants to Conway for a 1 p.m. shotgun start. After the tournament, there will be an awards banquet.

The event aims to raise money for two $1,000 scholarships – the Recreation and Sport Management Annual Scholarship and Recreation and Sport Management Endowed Scholarship – awarded to two RSM students.

The RSM Golf Classic targets RSM majors, CCU alumni, and recreation and sport management professionals. The goal of the event is for RSM490: Program and Event Planning students to gain experience in several areas of event planning, RSM program awareness, and scholarship fundraising. The mission of the class is to create an environment for experiential learning through the planning of a golf tournament.
