Nationally Recognized Expert to Present In-Migration Research Briefing for Horry and Georgetown Counties

What Does the Influx of 112,000 Newcomers Mean to Your Business?

Pat Mason, one of the Southeast’s most respected authorities on in-migration research trends will address the CCU Real Estate Club, an initiative of Coastal Carolina University’s Grant Center for Real Estate and Economic Development, at its monthly meeting at the General Aviation Building of the Myrtle Beach International Airport.

Mason, who has more than 40 years’ experience in destination marketing and coastal real estate, will present the 2017 Turbo-Tourist Buyer Profile, a snapshot of the social, cultural and economic impact of the more than 112,000 affluent newcomers who are expected to arrive in South Carolina over the next 25 years and more importantly, what that means to our local real estate market.

Through his research division, the Center for Carolina Living, Mason has worked with hundreds of organizations throughout the Carolinas, as well as those in Horry and Georgetown Counties providing viable trends that:

•Improve the quality of life via sustainable growth models,

•Create a healthy housing sector based on the latest green technology,

•Grow the Horry/Georgetown tourism cluster, and

•Create jobs and import capital in the form of affluent, educated people.

In addition to the Center for Carolina Living, Mason produces the popular ‘CarolinaLiving.com Guide to Relocation & Retirement’, the monthly ‘COMPASS Enews’, and is responsible for the informative and award-winning website, CarolinaLiving.com.  In 2017 alone, this site is expected to be viewed by 750,000 people, generate 200,000 click-thrus and produce over 2,000 visitor and relocation leads for Carolina organizations.

The CCU Real Estate Club meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, at 5 p.m. at the General Aviation Terminal of the Myrtle Beach International Airport.
