The Horry County Higher Education Commission (HCHEC) offers scholarship opportunities to graduates from eligible Horry County high schools that choose to attend Coastal Carolina University.  Some of the HCHEC scholarships are application-based, and selection criteria includes the review of one or more of the following: high school/collegiate scholastic performance, academic and post-graduation goals, intent to study in a chosen major, and/or academic progress at Coastal Carolina University.
