Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards for Federal Financial Aid
Institutions participating in Title IV federal aid programs are required by the United States Department of Education to establish institutional policies which define and measure the quantitative and qualitative progress of eligible students. Each student who receives federal financial aid at Coastal Carolina University is required to maintain satisfactory academic progress toward completion of his/her program of study.

Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal Deadlines*
- Fall 2022: September 28, 2022
- Spring 2023: February 13, 2023
- Summer 2023: July 1, 2023
- Fall 2023: September 27, 2023
- Spring 2024: February 5, 2024
Complete appeals must be received by the following dates for review prior to payment deadlines:
Fall semester: July 15
Spring semester: November 15
Appeals submitted after the midpoint in the term (dates above) cannot be guaranteed for committee review. Note: if submitting appeal documentation after the specified deadline, you must submit documentation of your interim grades for all courses.
Appeals will not be considered after the end of the term. Incomplete appeals will be denied.
*Dates are subject to change. Students are encouraged to submit complete appeals prior to the beginning of the term to ensure consideration.
