The Coastal Carolina University Real Estate Awards honor the successful efforts of businesses, community-based development organizations, and others who have worked diligently to transform the Grand Strand and South Carolina communities into excellent places to live, work, do business, and raise families.

The South Carolina Real Estate Hall of Fame seeks to recognize and honor the legacy of top commercial real estate professionals with outstanding contributions to the South Carolina real estate community and exceptional performance in the commercial real estate industry as a whole.

The awards and induction ceremony will be presented by the Grant Center for Real Estate and Economics on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019 from 5-6 p.m. at Coastal Carolina University in Johnson Auditorium, Room 116 in the Wall College of Business building. A reception with drinks and light h’ors dourves will follow in the Wall Building Boardroom, located in Room 222.

These awards are made possible through a gift from the Tony and Carrie Grant Fund.

Hall of Fame Inductees

Wilson Springs

Wilson was a Myrtle Beach native whose father founded H.B. Springs Company in 1928, which helped develop and build Pine Lakes Country Club and Ocean Forest Hotel. Wilson managed the company for more than 50 years alongside his brother Albert. He passed away on April 16, 2019.

George Taylor

Through the 40 years he spent in real estate, Taylor was involved in the development of many communities along the South Carolina coast, including some in Hilton Head, Georgetown, Pawleys Island, Murrells Inlet, and Myrtle Beach. He passed away on April 17, 2019.
